Creamy Icing
1 lb. powdered sugar (3.5-4 cups)
1/2 c white vegetable shortening
5-6 tbls milk or cream
1 tsp vanilla or 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 almond extract
Beat until icing is smooth and slightly stiff.
