Golden Raisin Oatmeal Cookies

Original from Taste of Home Baking Book:
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
2 tbls. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c quick cooking oats
2/3 c flour
2 tbls. grated orange peel
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
2/3 c golden raisins

My Edits:
3/4 c butter flavored crisco
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
2 tbls. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c quick cooking oats
2/3 c flour
8 drops orange essential oil
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
2/3 c regular raisins

Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, water and vanilla. Combine oats, flour, orange peel, cinnamon, and baking soda. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in the raisins.
Drop 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Note: I used the orange oil because I have some on hand. The peel would probably also be very nice, but I didn't have an orange on hand. It is a good flavor in these cookies though!
