- Line baking sheet(s) with aluminum foil
- Place cold bacon onto sheet with a little breathing room between each strip. Make sure the sheet has a lip so that the grease doesn't drip on the bottom of the oven.
- Place sheet into cold oven and turn temperature to 400 degrees.
- Bake about 20 minutes or until crispy, turning halfway through.
Notes:
- The instructions implied it would take 20 minutes total, but I suspect it should say 20 minutes from the time the oven reaches 400 degrees. Next time I try it I'll comment.
- Either way, this was a neat way to cook lots of bacon at once.

I've done this twice now and didn't turn it mid-baking either time. It worked just fine.
Also, it's obvious but it takes more time with thick cut bacon than regular. Just keep an eye on it and you'll soon be in bacon heaven!
This sounds like a huge time and mess saver! I always fry up an insane amount of bacon and then freeze it to pull out for individual recipes. I'll give this a try the next time...thanks!
Just did this and it worked super well! I baked up 3 pounds of bacon in 20 minutes with very little mess...woo-hoo! Now I have bacon for lunch and the freezer. Thanks!
